At least 25 people, including two children, were killed and several others injured in Saturday’s Israeli attacks in Lebanon despite an ongoing truce, state news agency NNA and Health Ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the latest strikes, an Israeli strike on the town of Saksakiyeh in southern Lebanon killed seven people, including a child, and injured 15 others, among them three children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, a man and his daughter were killed after an airstrike targetted them in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three others were killed when an Israeli strike hit a vehicle on the road between the towns of Abbasiyah and Burj Rahal in Tyre district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three Israeli strikes hit the Chouf district of central Lebanon, killing six people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another Israeli drone struck the Al-Masarib neighbourhood in the town of Meifdoun, with initial reports indicating one person was killed.\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Separately, Israel launched artillery shelling and demolished homes in several towns, coinciding with clashes between its forces and members of the Lebanese group Hezbollah in the town of Al-Bayada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Artillery shelling also targeted the towns of Braachit, Safad al-Battikh, and Touline, extending to Ghazieh and Froun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Israeli army also fired illumination flares over villages in the western and central sectors of southern Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Bint Jbeil district, Israeli forces demolished homes in the Al-Jabana neighborhood, and also fired artillery shells in the outskirts of the town of Ghazieh at dawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another person was killed in an airstrike on the town of Haris in Bint Jbeil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The strikes also killed one person and injured several others in the town of Bedyas in the Tyre district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hezbollah said it targetted two separate groups of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in southern Lebanon\u2019s Rshaf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The group also claimed to have intercepted an Israeli drone over al-Abbasiyah using a surface-to-air missile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite the ceasefire in place since April 17, which was later extended till mid-May, the Israeli army continues daily strikes in Lebanon and exchange of fire with Hezbollah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Israel’s attacks on Lebanon since March 2, soon after the Iran war, have killed over 2 700 people, and displaced more than one million. It also maintains a so-called “buffer zone” on Lebanese territory.
